Nissan Interstar

Nissan’s Interstar which was relaunched in 2003 is a great rival within the large panel van sector competing with favourites such as the Mercedes Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit.

Available in a choice of three roof heights, three body lengths and four turbo diesel engines the Nissan Interstar appeals to a wide range of van drivers and comes with a vast choice of modification options to make it the perfect van for either business or individual requirements.

The Nissan Interstar’s entry level model features power steering, driver airbags, radio/cassette player and a tubular bulkhead. The slightly higher spec model the SE comes with additional features such as a full metal bulkhead, electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors, CD player, electric windows as well as a rear parking sensor. With an exceptionally comfortable cabin which seats up to three passengers the models have a range of seating adjustment options for the vans driver.

The large panel van also provides great rear visibility due to the large door mirrors and for convenience there are also two cup holders, a dash mounted clip for documents and under seat storage. Selected models also feature optional draw/shelf units within the cargo compartment.

The Nissan Interstar comes in a choice of a 82bhp 1.9dCi offering 148lb-ft at 2,000rpm and two 2.5 dCi units with a choice of 100bhp or 115bhp, and the range topping model is a 3.0dCi with 136bhp and 236lb-ft at 180rpm. The Interstar’s more powerful models also come with a six speed manual transmission.
