With an aim to appeal to Porsche Cayman and BMW 3 Series Coupe drivers, Nissan has continued its reputation for thrilling sports coupes and introduced the 370Z. Nissans passion for sports coupes began in 1969 when the car maker launched the 240Z, which then followed with the 350Z and now the newest model the 370Z.

The all-new model rivals its predecessors due to its increased power and higher quality cabin. With a similar look to the 350Z the new model is more compact with a 10cm shorted wheelbase and 7cm shorter in length. The 370Z also features fatter flared rear wheel arches and headlights and tail lamps which are boomerang shaped.

Compared to the previous model the 370Z also has improved dramatically on the inside due to its seats, door trims and armrest which are made from a material that have a truly premier feel to them, the gauges also have a great sporty feel to them on the dash!

The 350Z’s intrusive rear strut brace has also been lowered considerably to improve practicality along with a shelf area which features behind the seats for storage.

With a 3.7 litre V6 engine the 370Z can go from 0-60mph in just 5.4 seconds and has a six speed manual gearbox with Syncho Rev Control and 18-inch Yokohama tyres.

Nissan saw the all new Micra drive into dealerships throughout the UK this week. Being the fourth generation of the legendary city car to hit showrooms, the all new model focuses on functionality, simplicity and low running costs while maintaining its user friendly appeal and stylish looks.

The all new Nissan Micra is the first car in its size to eliminate the stress of parking due to its innovative parking system called the parking space measurement (PSM). The system measures the amount of space that is available for your car to park in allowing you to know if it is even worth while attempting to park there. Once a suitable parking space has been found a parking sensor at the rear of the car will indicate how close the vehicle is to objects when guiding you into the space, making the stress of parking in tight spaces a thing of the past!

The all new model is also marginally lower and slightly longer that the previous model creating a roomier interior. The new model also features Nissan Connect, an accessible touch screen satellite and audio navigation system, climate control, glass roof, cruise control and automatic wipers. The drive computer also gives the driver information on real time fuel economy, outside temperature, cruising range and will keep you from getting into trouble by reminding you of your wedding anniversary and even wishes you a happy birthday!

Petrol heads planning on visiting the PistonHeads Performance Car show at Birmingham’s Autosport International event are awaiting a treat when it comes to Nissan horsepower.

The 2011 revised Nissan GT-R will be the first treat for visitors to see when visiting the show where they will get the opportunity to see the all new model which not only produces 612Nm of torque but also packs a 530PS punch allowing the sports car to reach 0-62mph in just 3.0 seconds. With this speed the GT-R is now one of the world’s fastest cars.

The new GT-R not only has more power but can be recognised by its new LED daytime running lights, new wheel design, improved air intakes, larger front brakes, revised interior and red engine cover. The GT-R is available with two choices of interior including the premium interior with an Alcantara and leather seat trim or the Recaro full leather black seats that feature red flashes, which both come at no extra cost.

At the show will also be the latest 370Z Roadster and Coupe which celebrate Nissans Z cars 40th year in the UK. With the original 240Z first driving into the UK in August 1971, the 370Z has improved massively now producing 328PS from its 3.7 litre V6 engine, which is a great deal more than the 240Z which had a 150PS powerplant. However the models have stayed very similar, still including its rear wheel drive layout, front engine and two seat driving experience.

The Nissan Juke comes with either a 115bhp 1.6 petrol engine, a 109bhp 1.5 diesel or a 188bhp 1.6 turbo petrol. This last engine manages a very respectable 0-62 in 8 seconds although the most popular choice will likely be the standard petrol engine.

Despite being compact and rather nippy, the Juke stands reasonably high for an elevated viewing position which is one of the main selling points of this crossover. The handling is good with responsive steering and firm suspension.

The Juke has great looks and definitely feels like a car of the moment with its dramatic exterior styling. Internally too the Juke scores well with ‘floating’ instruments inspired by motorbikes and a painted instrument panel designed to like lie the fuel tank of a motorcycle. Additionally the controls are all well labelled and easy to read.

The feature list is good with remote central locking and anti-hijacking features plus a safety features list as long as your arm including anti-lock brakes, ESP and six air bags. In addition the top of the range models have a neat 4 wheel drive system which can vary the amount of power sent to each wheel to improve stability in poor conditions.

The up-front space is decent and although there isn’t a huge amount in the back the seats do fold flat and there is additional storage under the floor.

The entry level Visia model has air conditioning, electric windows and alloy wheels. Stepping up the Acenta provides Blutooth, iPod docking and climate control and top of the range Tekna models feature reversing camera, leather trim and sat nav.

Nissan’s Interstar which was relaunched in 2003 is a great rival within the large panel van sector competing with favourites such as the Mercedes Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit.

Available in a choice of three roof heights, three body lengths and four turbo diesel engines the Nissan Interstar appeals to a wide range of van drivers and comes with a vast choice of modification options to make it the perfect van for either business or individual requirements.

The Nissan Interstar’s entry level model features power steering, driver airbags, radio/cassette player and a tubular bulkhead. The slightly higher spec model the SE comes with additional features such as a full metal bulkhead, electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors, CD player, electric windows as well as a rear parking sensor.
The Nissan Interstar comes in a choice of a 82bhp 1.9dCi offering 148lb-ft at 2,000rpm and two 2.5 dCi units with a choice of 100bhp or 115bhp, and the range topping model is a 3.0dCi with 136bhp and 236lb-ft at 180rpm.

Since going on sale in the UK 27 years ago, Nissan is proud to introduce its fourth generation Micra.

Having first gone on sale in 1983 the Nissan Micra has been sold to millions of drivers in more than 160 different countries.

Emitting only 115g/km of CO2 the new Nissan Micra is the cleanest supermini around with even the entry level model being a ‘green’ car, and most competitors in this market using diesel engines to be able to reduce CO2 figures to this sort of level resulting in a significantly larger price tag.

Available only in a five door hatchback, the new Nissan Micra differs from previous models with no CC convertible or three door model options. With a wider nose, arched roof and stretched back creating more headroom, the all-new model features a spoiler to not only save fuel but make the supermini cleaner and more aerodynamic.

With rivals including the Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Polo it is debatable whether the new Nissan Micra has an improved interior compared to these superminis and the previous model. However technology has improved significantly due to its stability control, six airbags, AUX stereo input and telephone connectivity which all come as standard within the range.

The new model is also more practical when it comes to space due to improved legroom and a roomy 265 litre boot which can be extended to 1,132 with the rear seats down creating a flat boot floor.

The Nissan Qashqai stormed into the UK market back in 2007. Since then its sensible running costs and elevated driving position have proved popular, so much so that the new range of Crossovers have become responsible for more than half of the European sales.

With more and more affordable 4×4’s entering the market, Nissan the 2010 model is fully loaded, fresher and sleeker than its rivals offering slight tweaks to its older sister. These tweaks include a new nose, sharper bumper, new headlamps and a choice of 16 inch up to 18 inch alloys offering a more aggressive, sporty feel.

Inside the car knobs and buttons look well put together and refuned. There is plenty of storage placed carefully around the cabin.

On the technical side, wind and road noise is minimal and the new chunkier tyres allow for a quieter, smoother ride.

There are two diesel and petrol models to choose from, which include the 138 bhp 2 litre petrol and the 105 bhp 1.5 litre dCi, which does and impressive 55 miles per gallon.

No matter what model you choose, standard equipment is plentiful with levels broken down into the Visia, Acenta, N-tec and Tekna range.

The standard model includes 16 inch alloys, electric windows as well as Bluetooth connectivity, the Acenta turns it up a notch with 17 inch alloys, parking sensors, climate control, front fog lamps and a speed limiter. The N-tec model has satellite navigation, privacy glass and a panoramic glass roof. The top spec model is the Tekna which boasts leather heated seats, intelligent key, 18 in alloy wheels and a Bose 7 speaker stereo system.

With all this kudos is looks like the new Nissan Qashqai is set to become another belter!
